Insulation
It’s obvious that ski boots should have good insulation, so your feet don’t freeze.
The insulation in the sole protects against the cold from the snow and affects how warm your feet are. We have chosen to use a natural material with great insulative properties in all our models.
Breathability
Your feet can become damp from humidity and sweat. Our solution to this issue is being the only brand on the market to combine a GORE-TEX membrane in our ski boots. The GORE-TEX membrane ensures sweat is
wicked away from the foot and simultaneously prevents water from entering. In this way ALFA ensures ski boots that are warm and comfortable for your feet throughout each and every ski trip.
Waterproofing
Skiing is usually thought of in combination with winter, snow, and cold temperatures. At this time of year, it’s not always necessary to consider how waterproof your shoes are.
But for anyone who has been skiing, it’s well known that cold temperatures and dry conditions aren’t always guaranteed. Wet snow can settle on skis and boots, and melt. Without a waterproof outer material, the dampness can seep into the boots.
All our ski boots are equipped with the waterproof material AlfaAir™, a synthetic two-layer laminate which is durable and requires minimal maintenance. Combined with the GORE-TEX membrane we guarantee dampness from your surroundings will stay out of your shoe.
Use the size chart and measure yourself to find the correct size. The chart can be found on the shoe's product page. When you try on the shoes at home, you should have at least room for an index finger behind the heel when you feel your toes at the tip of the shoe.
1. Air out the shoes after each use. They will dry faster if you remove the insole.
2. Drying temperature should be below 37 degrees. Do not use a shoe dryer or high heat.
3. Do not store the shoes on floors with underfloor heating. This dries out the rubber soles and shortens their lifespan.
4. Wash when necessary (depending on the intensity of the ski trips and how much you sweat), use water and our cleaning spray.
Yes, you can! Choose a touring skate with NNN-binding. We recommend using our Combi or Horizon ski boots with touring skates.
