Introduce yourself!

I am 31 years old, originally from Ski outside Oslo, and now live in Sagene in Oslo. I work as a photographer and brand ambassador, while also working to protect critical Norwegian infrastructure from cyberattacks.

What kind of activities do you do?

I am both restless and curious, which has led me to do many different activities. The advantage is that I never get bored. The disadvantage is that I don't always have enough time to go hiking, kayaking, running, cycling, climbing, fishing, hunting, skiing, snowboarding, ski sailing, pulling a sled and going ice skating. In summary, I enjoy most activities that take place outdoors.

What are you passionate about?

I have a passion for nature and for expressing myself creatively with a camera. It gives me great joy to combine these passions as a travel photographer and ambassador for Alfa. Sharing my experiences and inspiring others to explore Norwegian nature is very rewarding.

Name some highlights/achievements you are proud of.

The most memorable year in my career was when I was a full-time adventurer for Alfa Sko. I got to experience Norway in a unique way, visit dream places and discover hidden gems. Even though I have had many great experiences since then, this year still stands as my biggest highlight.

What or who has inspired you to keep doing what you do?

I am inspired by people who convey the joy of hiking, like Lars Monsen, as well as those who have expressed gratitude for my shared hiking moments through pictures and lectures. It is especially motivating to reach out to those who cannot go hiking themselves due to health or age.

What environmentally conscious choices do you make in your everyday life and when you are out hiking?

I am becoming increasingly environmentally conscious and focus on making sustainable choices. I use less plastic, buy new hiking clothes less often, and have replaced my gasoline car with an electric car, even though it is not always practical. Supporting local experiences instead of traveling far is also an important part of my environmental commitment.

What is your best hiking experience? And worst?

My best hiking experience was spending nights on Norwegian mountain peaks with the midnight sun or the northern lights. When it comes to bad experiences, I don’t have many to choose from, but I remember once pulling a sled through Rondane in early January, encountering bare ground and having to deal with a storm. It was a challenging hike, but it became a memory for life.

Have you ever been scared while hiking? What did you learn from that?

Yes, I have experienced scary situations such as strong winds, avalanche terrain, and having to perform life-saving first aid. These experiences have taught me to be more aware of risks and better prepared to handle dangerous situations.

What is the best thing about being out in nature?

The peace and quiet of nature gives me a deep inner peace that I don’t find in the city. Combined with activities that give me a sense of accomplishment, I get to recharge my batteries in a unique way.

Where is your dream trip?

I dream of exploring several mountain passes and national parks in Norway, and have a special dream of crossing Svalbard on skis and sleds.

Where would you like to be right now?

On top of a windless mountain in Jotunheimen, perhaps at Store Skagastølstind, where I truly feel at home.

Where will you be in 10 years?

I hope to continue doing what I do now, being active and involved in Norwegian nature. I imagine combining photography and adventure with an office job that gives me contrast and balance in my everyday life.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I have been the unofficial Norwegian champion in tent pitching, chosen by one of Norway's largest tent manufacturers.

What are your favorite shoes from ALFA?

The Walk King Advance has been a faithful hiking companion for many years. They have given me many amazing experiences, and that is why they are still a favorite.
